In memory of Roland Jost

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Roland Jost. He passed away on Saturday May 11, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.

Over the past years Roland had kept up his valiant fight against various forms of cancer, but he was recently informed that the cancer had spread to his lungs.

Roland was born on January 15, 1947, in Wuestenrot, Germany. He started his career in Germany, then worked in Switzerland and Lichtenstein, before settling in South Africa in 1969.

Bringing the Meiller brand to the South African market, Roland was known as β€œMr Meiller” within the tipper industry – this was for his well-known contribution to the South African mining and construction industries.

Roland joined the TFM team more than 20 years ago. The team at TFM grieves the passing of a friend and colleague who has left an indelible mark in the industry and company.
